The Skilled Visa to Australia is intended for skilled individuals or families who wish to relocate permanently to Australia in order to fill skill shortages in that country.
The General Skilled Migration programme is a targeted test programme that offers a variety of visa choices for skilled workers who would wish to see in Australia, but do not have an employer who can sponsor them.These workers can apply for these visas under the General Skilled Migration program. The program makes available visas that are either temporary or permanent, and they can be sponsored in one of three ways: independently, by a state or territory, or by a family member.
The Skilled Occupation List details, in alphabetical order, the various lines of work that qualify individuals to apply for permanent residency under the general skilled migration programme.Applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 45 years old, have a strong command of the English language, and have either recent skilled job experience or a recently finished suitable Australian Qualification. Applicants must also be located in the United States.
